Testing
vision of a child with Down Syndrome
Children
with Down Syndrome are often examined with tests that are
used in testing younger children. The following short video
sequencies were taken during clinical examination of a child
with Down Syndrome after she had received her first pair of
glasses. In this case the glasses correct for hyperopia,
farsightedness. Correction of refractive errors is necessary
before visual functions can be properly
assessed.
