COMMENTS TO ICIDH-2 ß VERSION
These comments were written to activate discussion on the classification of visual impairment and disability. Although this classification is important to our clients/patients and us workers in the field of low vision, surprisingly little interest is given to it. I will keep these comments on my homepage another year and hope that especially definitions related to multi-impairment will develop. Our present situation prevents children with several impairments from getting proper educational services in many countries because the IEP is written for one 'major' impairment in mind and other impairments get much less attention.
My comments are written using smaller text, italic and the suggested new version using bold text and regular text similar to the text in the present version.
